Description

The broad aims are that the student should: Be able to model and analyse the behaviour of typical processes and the impact of feedback upon these behaviours Be able to develop models of cause and effect (input-output) relationships, to produce block diagrams to represent behaviour and to be able to define Controlled Variables, Manipulated Variables, Disturbance Variables Understand the essential functionality of feedback control loops and the circumstances in which their potential benefits may be realised Have an awareness of the functionality of typical proprietary systems
